The JOM Native Education Parent Committee is seeking to fill three (3) vacant seats for parents to form a Parent Committee. The open seats consists of one (1) 1-year term and two (2) 2-year terms.
In order to qualify for a seat in the committee, a parent must have a child who is 1/4 blood quantum or enrolled in a federally recognized tribe. The child must also be between the ages of 3-18, and must be enrolled in Yakutat School District OR Tlingit & Haida Head Start – Yakutat.
Members of the JOM Native Education Parent Committee participate in a minimum of 4 meetings per year, helping guide the direction of fundraising and activities for JOM youth.
