As moose hunting season approaches, YTT’s Environmental department encourages community members to review Alaska Department of Fish and Game’s (ADFG) new ‘Moose Health and Disease: A Pocket Guide’ which provides descriptions, symptoms, and information on safety of meat consumption, and tips on preventing moose diseases.
The guide also overviews several moose diseases that have not been observed in Alaska to encourage residents to be observant and to submit sightings and/or samples of any cases to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.
